Corporate volunteers Take a day out and join us in the garden either on your own or with colleagues. Your group will be guided throughout the day by an experienced member of the Healing Garden team. No gardening experience is necessary.
We welcome volunteers from a variety of companies for an unforgettable day in the garden, from a single employee to a team of up to 15.
Previous teams have helped us with planting bulbs, weeding, potting up young seedlings, pruning and clearing, building a bug hotel, sowing wildflower seeds and planting plugs, and even painting our potting shed.
We tailor the day to your team and to the individuals taking part. In volunteering with us not only will they be helping their mental and physical wellbeing with a day spent in nature, but they will have the satisfaction of helping us keep the garden maintained in a sustainable way for Harefield Hospital’s patients, their visitors, and staff.
We do ask for a nominal donation to help us run these days for volunteering teams of more than two people, which covers all associated staff time and the cost of tools, plant materials, insurance, and refreshments.
Volunteering with us in the Healing Garden is good news for your company too; By encouraging your employees to volunteer towards improving the biodiversity and environment of the hospital and the wellbeing of its patients, your company will be helping improve the wellbeing of its employees, as well as contributing towards its own environmental social and governance principles.
We have repeat visits from Corporate volunteers so we’re pretty sure that they enjoy the experience, and we really appreciate their help.
