The Healing Garden turns 3

The sun was shining today, in celebration of the Healing Garden’s 3rd Birthday! We celebrated by giving the garden its weekly dose of TLC and having tea and cake in the potting shed, with those who help keep the garden looking blooming gorgeous. The garden will be the talk of the hospital over the next few weeks, when the tulips burst into bloom, and the patients and staff are looking forward to spending more time here in the warmer months. 

Although only three years old, it already feels as though the garden has been here for years.  And in some way it has. In WW1 there was a garden on the same site – perhaps its history partly explains why Gaby Logan and other visitors describe the garden as a “spiritual place”.
